Bjørn Thorsen A/S, distributor with focus on soft & flexible polymer solutions, is proud to announce the expansion of its collaboration with Celanese, a leading global chemistry and specialty materials company. Bjørn Thorsen have been granted access to new products and market territories by Celanese, an example being the distribution rights of Hytrel® TPC (thermoplastic polyester elastomer) in France, as well as in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

Enriched elastomers portfolio

The addition of Hytrel® TPC to Bjørn Thorsen’s current selection of elastomers, like Santoprene® TPV from Celanese, Estane® TPU from Lubrizol or Opti-Pren™ TPV, Opti-Soft™ TPE and Opti-Flex™ TPO from Customized Compound Solutions further enhances their versatile portfolio, enabling Bjørn Thorsen’s team of experts to provide the optimal elastomer solutions for customers’ unique challenges. Expansion in Europe

The Advanced Polymers team of Bjørn Thorsen hopes to bring more elastomers into their product portfolio in the near future, which supports Bjørn Thorsen's defined expansion plans across Europe. As part of their actions for supporting the European strategy, the company has started the interview process with leading candidates in the elastomers segment to spearhead their market entry in Germany and Central Europe. As expressed by Bjørn Thorsen's Chairman, Claus Adser: ”We genuinely believe there are new and unexplored opportunities in Germany and Central Europe, which can be commercialized by our different approach to the market.
